Proactiv has been around since 1995 and is sworn by and represented by many celebrity users. Dr Rodan and Fields have been featured on many talk shows and magazines as well, with Rodan being featured in Oakland Magazine issue titled "Best Doctors". The company operates out of the Bay Area of California with their products being pretty reasonably priced.

Rodan and Fields acne products are geared toward those who don't get the occasional pimple, but have what one would call troublesome skin. They are designed to have optimum strength and also be available without a prescription. The new product line targets all problem areas coming in different formulas such as Unblemish, Anti-Age, Reverse, Soothe, Enhancements, and Essentials.

There are also reviews all over the internet about the original Proactiv solution. This is the oldest system created for Rodan and Fields acne products and one of the most popular acne products to date. This original system consists of the Renewing Cleanser, Revitalizing Toner, and Repairing Lotion. An extra bonus gift is usually thrown in with the purchase.

There are other skin care products out there that work like Murad, but are more expensive. AcneFree, also an as seen on TV product, claims to be comparable to Proactiv and offers even a more cost effective system which is also a 3 step kit.
